Immediate Relief

Working people are struggling with an affordability crisis that grows worse as climate change exacerbates economic volatility. A business-as-usual approach to politics cannot ameliorate the structural deficiencies of an economy that endangers livelihoods and our shared environmental future. To meet this moment, Climate and Community Institute is publishing a number of policy proposals which foreground immediate relief from the affordability crisis in sectors from healthcare to utilities to housing. We have featured policies that offer relief in three areas: cutting costs, protecting rights and survival, and expanding leisure and access.
